Staci L. Williams
Staci L. Williams is the Chief Development Officer at the Boldly Moving Education Ahead (BMEA) and a dedicated leader in strategic communications, operations, and fund development. With over 20 years of experience spanning education, nonprofit leadership, local government, and media, she has made a lasting impact in strategic partnerships, organizational development, and advancing educational equity.
Staci began her career in communications and public relations, where she developed a passion for amplifying marginalized voices and fostering community engagement. Over the years, she has held key leadership roles, including Director of Strategic Communications at Detroit 90/90 and Manager of Community Engagement at the Henry Ford Learning Institute. In these roles, she spearheaded initiatives that strengthened stakeholder engagement, enhanced school enrollment, and advanced institutional messaging.
At BMEA, Staci is a driving force in stewarding donors, fostering meaningful relationships, and strategically communicating the organization’s mission and impact. She leads efforts to secure funding through grant acquisition, fundraising campaigns and events, and donor engagement, ensuring the organization’s sustainability. Additionally, she crafts compelling narratives that elevate BMEA’s story, amplifying its reach and deepening its influence. Her work ensures that BMEA has the resources and support needed to continue its transformative impact on educators, students, and communities nationwide.
In addition to her work at BMEA, Staci has been deeply engaged in community outreach and public service. As the former Youth Focus Outreach Coordinator for Detroit City Councilman James Tate (during his first term), she designed and executed programs aimed at fostering self-empowerment and academic success for high school students in Detroit Public Schools. Her expertise in strategic communications, community outreach, and district leadership has played an essential role in driving impactful campaigns and strategies, broadening their reach both locally and nationally.
Williams holds a Master’s in Integrated Marketing Communications and a Bachelor’s in Communications & Theatre Arts from Eastern Michigan University. She is also a long-standing member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. A purpose-driven leader, Staci amplifies marginalized voices in underserved communities.
