Michael Payne brings more than 15 years of K–12 education experience spanning mathematics instruction, culturally responsive teaching, instructional coaching, and school leadership. At BMEA, he leads efforts to strengthen school partnerships and advance professional learning that creates more equitable and liberatory learning environments for students and educators. His work has supported schools across Michigan and New York in strengthening instructional practices, educator retention, and student engagement. He is the lead for BMEA’s School Partnership and Learning Programs.
