Principal Wellness & Policy Fellowship

The Principal Wellness Fellowship has evolved into the Principal Wellness & Policy Fellowship to deepen its impact and broaden its scope in developing equity-centered leadership.
 

While continuing its focus on supporting principals’ personal and professional well-being, the Fellowship now emphasizes policy reform, advocacy, and leadership development. This evolution recognizes the critical role principals play in shaping education policy at both the local and state levels through culturally responsive and equity-focused leadership.
 

The program continues to provide wellness strategies while placing greater emphasis on equipping principals to influence and participate in policy decisions that directly affect their schools and communities. This evolution reflects a commitment to developing healthy, resilient leaders who champion educational equity and drive systemic change in education.

What is the Principal Wellness & Policy?

The Principal Wellness & Policy Fellowship is a year-long program designed to support school leaders in balancing personal wellness, professional excellence, and meaningful engagement in education policy.
 

Through monthly wellness sessions, policy-focused learning opportunities, professional development experiences, and leadership development programming, participants strengthen their capacity as educators, advocates, and changemakers. The Fellowship equips principals to prioritize their well-being while advancing policies and practices that promote educational equity and student success.
